The 909F3 Fairway wood is a high performance fairway with a pear profile and deep face. This club delivers mid launch with low spin. The tour proven, modern design creates a deeper CG for better stability. A smaller, deeper face provides confidence for players who trajectory and shot control. The 909F3 has half degree stronger lofts compared to the 909F2 which promotes a flatter ball flight and trajectory control. Precision cast 17-4 Stainless Steel makes up the body while a 275 Carpenter Steel face insert makes for a lively feel and increased ball speed. The multi relief sole minimizes turf resistance and ensures that the ground contact point remains forward to reduce bounce and skip at impact.

Futures:

1. High performance fairway with a pear frofile and deep face

2. Mid launch with low spin

3. 17-4 Stainless Steel body

4. 275 Carpenter Steel face insert

5. Stock grip: Titleist Tour Velvet Rubber

The Titleist 909 F3 fairway wood has the modern looks that have already proved popular on tour and which help force the centre of gravity deeper into the club to enhance stability on every shot. The clubface is deeper and smaller than the 909 F2 range which allows better players to enjoy huge control over their shots and the stronger lofts mean the ball flight is much flatter. The Titleist 909 F3 fairway woods promote enhanced ball speed while the sole of the club helps minimise resistance and reduces any bounce on impact.

I’m reading a recent New Scientist article talking about the Five emotions you never knew you had and I’m starting to think about how our emotions influence our golf. And they’re influencing us every time we play.

Now I’m sure that like the rest of us, you’re experiencing all sorts of emotions every minute of every day of your life. It’s a key element of living whether we are playing golf or doing something less important.

So what are these emotions I’m talking about? Well, as the article says, we all see different ones, but the consensus seems to include what psychologists apparently call the Big Six – Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Surprise and Disgust. Well they all crop up on a regular basis in golf, now don’t they? And they all appear either as desires or problems with many of the people who seek help from golf psychologists. They all tie in to Enjoying your Golf; Fear of Golfing Failure and Success; and Anger Management in Golf as some of the Secrets of Hypnotic Golf.

More indirectly, I guess that Sadness, Surprise and Disgust are also addressed by Positive Framing on the Golf Course; Post-Shot Routines: Planning your Shot, State Management in Golf; and Protection from Covert Hypnosis.

So what about the Five emotions you never knew you had? Well, according to New Scientist, these are Elevation, Interest, Gratitude, Pride and Confusion. You may not be surprised to hear that these fit in well with golf psychology as well.

Elevation, the uplifting emotion, is something we feel when we are inspired and motivated. In fact we have many expressions for it in our language like things are looking up. In golf psychology, I relate it to the concept of managing our physiology between shots. As I describe when talking about Physiology and Between Shots, if we walk the fairways with our head held high, we feel uplifted and positive. As a result, we play better golf.

Curiosity is one of the key things that make us human. It’s also the key element to planning our shots – an essential part of our pre-shot routines. I know that I’m always talking about trusting your unconscious mind for better golf. However, the conscious mind with its analytical curiosity has a part to play as well.

What about Gratitude? Isn’t that just the way we feel about a good shot? Well, that’s true, but there’s more to it than just that. As I describe in Positive Framing on the Golf Course, you can feel a lot better about a bad lie on the golf course if you think about how much worse it could have been. Being grateful for small mercies can have a very positive effect on your golf.

Pride can be a two edge sword – the New Scientist article describes it as the emotion with two faces. However, feeling proud about what happens on the golf course is what many of us play for. There’s nothing wrong with feeling proud of a good drive or breaking 90, 80 or even 70 – whatever level you aspire to. You can store that pride as a resource when using NLP Anchoring for Better Golf.

That leaves us with the most enigmatic of the five – Confusion. Surely there’s nothing positive to say about that, Andrew! Well perhaps I should leave that one to Richard Bandler, the co-founder of NLP, to describe why even confusion is a positive emotion for golf and life.

Confusion is the doorway to reorganizing your perceptions and learning something new. If you were never confused, that would mean that everything that happened to you fit your expectations, your model of the world, perfectly. Life would simply be one boring, repetitive experience after another.

Abu Dhabi Golf Championship 2010 Masters Odds: PAUL LAWRIE had fierce family rivalry to thank for his scorching start at the Abu Dhabi Championship yesterday.

The Scot soared to just a shot off the lead with a flawless six-under 66 – his best opening round for more than two years.

And Lawrie put his stunning show down to having spent the last fortnight locked in battle with his two golf-mad sons on a nine-hole course in Dubai.

That preparation helped the 1999 Open champ reel off six birdies on the National course yesterday to sit among nine players in a share of fourth, while Ian Poulter tops the board on seven under with fellow Englishman Richard Bland and South Africa’s Keith Horne.

Lawrie said: “We were over in Dubai with the kids for nearly two weeks and they have a nine-hole course at Jebel Ali so I played a lot of golf over the festive break.

“I didn’t practise and just warmed up playing nine holes each day with Craig and Michael – they are both extremely keen.

“Craig is 14 and plays off eight and Michael, who’s 11, is down to 14-handicap so they are both very handy. It’s tough to beat them but I did!

“So I’m not surprised to have made a great start because I have played a lot of golf with my two boys and hit the ball really well. It’s just nice to be back.”

Lawrie’s score was his lowest first-round tally since he began the 2007 Dunhill Links Championship with a 66.

And the highlight came with a great escape at the par-five eighth, which he was playing as the 17th.

Lawrie found a fairway bunker with his tee shot then slipped while playing his three wood out of the sand. The ball veered far right into a waste area from where he managed to get up and down for birdie.

Joint leader Poulter saved the best for last with a brilliant 70-foot downhill putt on 18.

He said: “I hit it probably 10 feet too hard but it was on line and lucky enough it hit the back of the hole then popped up and dropped.

“I wasn’t expecting to come out quite as fast as that after a five-week break but I will certainly take it.”

Alongside Lawrie on six under are Alvaro Quiros and Sergio Garcia plus world No. 10 Rory McIlroy.

New year everybody has goal?business man wants to ear more money?scientist wants to have new invent. What is Rory McIlroy’s goal?

Rory McIlroy has challenged himself to meet three main targets in 2010 as he bids to secure his place among golf’s elite.there are golf clubs for sale.

Last year McIlroy posted a first win in Dubai, played his part in a thrilling climax to the European Tour season and broke into the world’s top 10.

And in keeping with his confident approach to everything he encounters, the 20-year-old has three main goals this year – to break into the world’s top five, convert high finishes into multiple wins worldwide and put himself into contention at the majors on a regular basis with his titleist ap2 irons .

“There will probably be more pressure this year,” McIlroy said. “I have got into the top 10 which brings pressures in itself to try to stay there and to try to move higher. It’s a lot more difficult to move from 10th to fifth than from 40th to 20th.

“One of my big goals is to win more this year. I felt I put myself in a lot of good positions to win last year, and to be able to only win once was slightly disappointing.

“Not achieving at least what I did last year would be disappointing – I want to try to improve every year.

“Over the last two years it has been a steady progression, and I would be very disappointed if I didn’t achieve what I did last year. I want to surpass that and try to achieve the high goals I have set myself.”

Have you made a plan for new year, if not, it is time to think about it.

If you are starting to play golf following a primarily sedentary life style then you will discover that it’s going to be rather tough for you to just run out and play and an entire 18 holes of golf. But, if you were playing for some time you are likely in better physical shape, but in general your golf game will be greatly influenced by your level of physical health. If you are in good shape physically, concerning overall flexibility, strength and staying power then you can play a significantly better game than somebody who is in lesser physical form.

You are going to require to increase overall flexibility concurrently that you work to increase strength so as to have the best all round physical condition possible to be able to play. What this means is that you want to work to build muscle, as opposed to bulky muscles. The main differences is the amount of flexibility that the muscles give. Large muscles tend to be stronger, yet at the same time they are not as flexible which will significantly minimize your capacity to twist properly in your backswing. Nevertheless, building lean muscle is not difficult, on the other hand will take a mindful effort.

The majority of people who are working to build muscle strength tend to build muscle mass automatically. This is usually because they are using large amounts of weights. Rather build lean muscles you need to work to build repetitions of lower weight loads. This will enable you to improve your muscle strength, while allowing you to work in the direction of building the lean and slender muscles that are good for your overall golf game. Fight back the need to lift weights that are heavier than 10 pounds since this will end up in large muscles instead of lean muscles.

You should also work to keep the body as flexible as possible. What this means is it is advisable to be certain that you are stretching out both prior to and following playing golf to ensure that you are taking appropriate care of your body. If you tend not to stretch then you may find yourself very tender after a game and regret playing. Just stretching for less than 5 minutes before and after a round of golf will make sure that you are able to frequently play without having any issues and with no need of feeling as if you are spending more time stretches than playing golf.

When you are playing golf, it is extremely significant to keep in mind that you are sometimes out in the really hot sun. Because of this, you need to at all times ensure that you take some water with you to make sure that you stay well hydrated during the game. If you become overheated or dehydrated, it will begin to hinder your game at the same time as cause you complications in having the essential staying power to play. Constantly drink plenty of water to make certain that you are capable to continue playing. This is important irrespective of what type of training you are doing to make sure that you are as healthy as you possibly can.

Your final main idea should be making sure that you walk regularly. Golf may be a relatively slow moving hobby, but it does generally call for great amounts of walking. You need to be equipped to walk long distances free of losing your breath, or suffering from back or leg pain. These issues can genuinely lessen the amount of time that you can play and could potentially result in you needing to have to quit playing a game in the midst of a golf course. This is in no way something that is pleasant so ensuring that you get a lot of walking activity is crucial. If you have troubles with finding anywhere to walk then consider looking into a treadmill that will allow you to still get plentyof walking exercise especially away from the green.

A tiny bit of smart planning and a tiny bit of carefully planned and executed exercise can go a very long way in the direction of assisting you boost your golf game considerably.

American professional golfer, Davis Milton Love III made a early lead at the Sony Open like Thursday. Love hasn’t competing for nearly two months, the last month he even couldn’t feel grass under his feet. But on Thursday, his good performance let us feel like he had never been away from the game.

Love played bogey-free in more wind than he was expecting at Waialae, making birdie on his last hole for a 5-under 65 that put him into a four-way tie for the lead among early starters with defending champion Zach Johnson, Ryan Palmer and PGA Tour rookie Troy Merritt. Love said, “It’s a nice way to start the year”. The relative calm on Oahu during practice rounds gave way to swaying of palm trees at sunrise along the shores of Waikiki, providing tough conditions for the morning.

Johnson, playing in the same group with Love, made seven birdies over his final 11 holes to join him atop the leaderboard.

The biggest surprise was Merritt, the wire-to-wire winner of Q-school last month who had never played in a PGA Tour event. Merritt felt the butterflies on the first tee, then played like a veteran. Merritt said, “Things went way better than I thought”

Johnson had no idea that he inspired another player to get off to a calm start. Palmer was looking for something to read earlier in the week when he came across an article about Johnson that dealt with taking golf one day at a time. He didn’t look at leaderboards or worry about the weekend until he signed for his 65. Palmer said, “Best start in my seven-year career”. Johnson followed his own advice. Asked if this was the start of an encore from a year ago, he quickly replied, “No.”"I’m trying to forget about those results from last year, but I’m trying to remember the positive vibes … some of the feelings that I had with my shots,” Johnson said. “But if I dwell in the past too much, I usually start backing up in the wrong direction”.

Fowler opened with a three-putt double bogey from 8 feet and wound up with a 75. Masters champion Angel Cabrera hit wedge into the par-5 ninth, with a strong breeze at his back, and finished with a birdie to join the group at 68 that included Pat Perez. Love again needs another big start to the year to get into the Masters. He played so much last year that he felt like he was spinning his wheels, and the end came after he withdrew at Disney after one round.

With cold weather in Sea Island along the Georgia coast, and his vacation to the slopes, he couldn’t wait to get on grass. After checking into the hotel at Waialae on Saturday night, he rushed out to the 11th green in twilight and began putting.

Of all the practicing he did in his garage, it was his putting that left him curious. Love, however, decided to give each putt one read and hit it like it was a pro-am round, and he was pleasantly surprised to see so many of them go in.

Love was optimistic, but he was anxious about competing. He said, “Once I got it going, once I got under par … I’ve been out here a long time. You don’t forget.”

To say it has been a bad few months for Tiger Woods would be a slight understatement. As bad a beating as he has taken from the media and sponsors, the subsidiary impact of his mess is about to really hit hard with another group – the PGA.

The PGA Tour kicked off on January 4, 2010 with the SBS Championship in Kapalua, Hawaii. What you didn’t hear about it? Exactly. By the way, Geoff Ogilvy one the tournament for the second straight year at 22 under. Regardless, the victory didn’t get much coverage except on golf outlets because a certain individual was not there. This wasn’t particularly troubling since he rarely plays the tournament. As the weeks pass, however, this is going to become a bigger problem.

Catch a Tiger by its tale…and watch the PGA weep! This pretty much sums up the situation. Tiger has a bushel of personal problems and nobody knows when he will be returning to the tour. Until then, the PGA is going to have some serious problems. Statistics have shown that television viewership drops roughly 50 percent when Woods does not play. That is a huge issue for tournaments already facing issues in a tough economy.

Take the San Diego Open at Torrey Pines in the last week of January. This is a tournament Tiger traditionally has always played at. All indications are that he will not this year. Torrey Pines is a tremendous golf course, but the promoters are having serious issues finding a major sponsor for the tournament. The tournament was once known as the Buick Open, a Tiger sponsor, but that has all gone by the wayside. With a smaller television audience sans Woods, it is simply proving to be difficult to attract sponsors per radio reports out here in San Diego. The tournament appears as though it will go on with a group of secondary sponsors, but this is a sign of things to come with future PGA events.

Any way you slice it, the PGA is in for a brutal year. A combination of a Tiger gone missing with a sour economic environment is a toxic mix. The PGA will survive, but a drop in win purses may have players realizing how important Tiger is to the tour.

Spring is on the way to come, but spring day is always full of cold and damp air. Is there anything worse than swinging a golf club and feeling the club slipping in your hands? Because if that happens you’re pretty much guaranteed a terrible golf shot. And unless you’re Tiger Woods it is very hard to stop the swing when you’re in the downswing of a golf swing.

I have no idea how Tiger does that! Anyway, if you’re playing in the rain then naturally the chances of your grip slipping as you make your golf swing go up as well.

But there are simple solutions to this problem which don’t have to cost you anything. And the first solution is a dry towel.

When you play golf, besides carry your golf equipment, you should at least carry 1 extra golf towel. Ideally you should carry two extra golf towels however. And if you’re getting hot and sweaty or it’s raining then before and after every golf shot you should be wiping your golf grips and hands with one of your dry towels. Also, if it’s raining you’ll obviously have your umbrella up so I suggest that you keep your towel under the umbrella to try and keep it dry for as long as you can. Then when your towel is not doing a good enough jobs then simply put it back in your golf bag and get another dry towel out.

Now here’s a neat trick. Every two or three holes simply get some sand from the bunkers (or from the little buckets they give you to put in divots) and rub some of the sand on your hands and on your golf grips. This will help to absorb the sweat and it will help you to keep a firm golf grip as you’re swinging. If you’re a women golfer you may prefer to take some talcum powder with you to the golf course and put this on your hands instead of sand.

So the next time you play a game of golf where it is possibly going to rain and humid…or heaven forbid….both at the same time! Then make sure you take at least two towels and try your best to keep them dry. Then every golf hole or two put some sand on your hands and on your grips. Doing these little things will help you to keep your golf grip secure as you’re swinging the golf club. Because again, there’s nothing worse than going to play a golf shot and having your hands feel as though they are going to slip on the golf grip, is there?

Golf bags today do not only house the golf clubs; they also provide compartments for refreshments, clothes and accessories like the mobile phones. Some manufacturers recognize the need for women to do re-touch on their make-up, so they added a pocket for that.

Bags come in different colors, styles, sizes, and materials. The pencil bag is ideal for the 9-hole match. It is designed from lightweight materials to hold only few golf clubs. The stand bag, another style of golf bag, provides storage and protection for the complete set of golf clubs.

The lightweight nylon-based materials and dual padded straps evenly distribute the weight across your back and shoulders. The latest stand bags come with retractable legs that are spring-loaded. The legs extend automatically when the bag is placed down. This feature enables you to access your golf clubs from a comfortable angle.

Golf bags can also be similar to a trolley. Designed to carry a complete set of golf clubs, trolley bags have 14 ‘graphite-friendly’ dividers to provide excellent club protection in transit. It is the favorite bag among golfers, professionals, and hobbyists, because it can be pushed, pulled, or used as an electric golf trolley.

Trolleys also feature several pockets that can be accessed without removing the bag from the trolley. Like all types of bags, the trolley can also be customized with a logo, text, and color. To buy a trolley, you can browse through the auction sites and stores on the internet.

There are cheap golf bags that have excellent features and are in good condition. Even the designer bags such as Wilson, Tailor-made and Mizuno are sold at lower prices compared to similar bags sold in the brick-and-mortar world.

The only drawback of buying golf bags online is not having the chance to inspect the bags like you could when you shop at a local store. However, there is another way to ensure that your golf bag is exactly what you want it to be.

Go to the websites that offer specifications on golf accessories and equipment. Some e-stores inform customers of the available color and sizes of each item on display.

Assess your golf needs and expectations of your golf bags. To make your search organized, you can list down the features and basic specifications that you want. Make sure each bag you find has all or some of the particulars on your list.

Never forget to include the travel cover for your golf bags. This protects the contents in your bag, particularly the golf clubs. Moreover, choose the bag that has an insulated cooler pocket for your hot and cold refreshments.
